Business Advisory Senior Accountant (REMOTE)

Based in Queensland, this firm is one of the state's largest and most dynamic business advisory, chartered accounting and wealth management practices. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, reconcile and analyse management accounting statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Perform accounting system review(s) to identify areas of improvement and efficiency for clients. Assist in implementation of improvements identified where possible. Preparation of three-way forecast models to set short and long-term financial goals, including development of key business drivers that integrate with those forecast models. Assistance in measuring performance against these targets on a regular basis. Perform meetings with clients presenting key outcomes and actions from analysis work performed. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing proactive solutions. Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster their professional development. Analyse complex financial issues, identify potential risks, and develop effective solutions. Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work. Skills and Experience: Ideally 3+ years working as an accountant in Business Advisory Undergraduate qualifications Studying or completed CA or CPA qualification Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Tax Law, and Superannuation Law Proven experience in business advisory and financial analysis Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desired: Knowledge of cloud-based accounting software and data analytics tools If you would be interested in having a chat about this role please call Michele on 0426 682 010 or APPLY NOW!

The Opportunity Our client is a Brisbane mid-tier firm seeking an experienced External Audit Senior Manager to join the team. They have a relaxed environment and an open door policy which gives you direct access to the two audit partners. Your responsibilities include: Managing audit engagements with not-for-profit and trade unions. Assist with planning, execution and scheduling staff Address technical issues and assist in preparing position papers Preparation of financial statements in accordance with AASB and IFRS Management and mentoring of 4 staff on-site and 4 offshore team members Liaise with clients, and manage these relationships.
