Due to their continual growth, our client is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join their head office accounting team. If you are looking to make the transition from public practice into commercial accounting, whilst staying within a corporate environment, this is the role for you! THE ROLE As a Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for the following duties: Be responsible for the workflow and meeting deadlines for your clients. Take an active role in monitoring/developing controls and reporting to minimise risk and ensure compliance across the client base. Assist the Team Leader with staff development and training initiatives for your direct reports and others across the team. Contribute to the month-end P&L review and reporting processes for our business unit. Build constructive relationships with team leaders and business leaders across the business, especially within finance ABOUT YOU Commercial experience or at least 5 years experience in Tax & Business Services including strong exposure and knowledge of GL accounting, GST, and income tax. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, reconcile and analyse management accounting statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Perform accounting system review(s) to identify areas of improvement and efficiency for clients. Assist in implementation of improvements identified where possible. Preparation of three-way forecast models to set short and long-term financial goals, including development of key business drivers that integrate with those forecast models. Assistance in measuring performance against these targets on a regular basis. Perform meetings with clients presenting key outcomes and actions from analysis work performed. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing proactive solutions. Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster their professional development.
