The Opportunity: This is a fantastic chance for an Intermediate SMSF Accountant to specialise exclusively in SMSF accounting and gain hands-on experience. Due to the firm’s growth, they are looking for someone to assist the SMSF Manager in managing a portfolio of self-managed super funds (SMSFs) while receiving ongoing support and development. About the Role: In this role, you’ll be directly supporting the SMSF Manager and assisting with the management and administration of a portfolio of around 400 funds. Your key responsibilities will include: Preparing compliance documents (financial statements and tax returns) for SMSFs Supporting the SMSF Manager in managing the portfolio and ensuring client deadlines are met Ensuring technical standards are maintained while providing high-quality service to clients Building strong relationships with clients and providing advice on fund setup, pension-stage funds, and property purchases Collaborating closely with internal financial advisors and external stakeholders to ensure clients’ needs are met Your Experience: At least 1–3 years of experience in SMSF accounting or tax in an Australian accounting firm A desire to specialise in SMSF accounting and work in a hands-on role Experience with Class Super would be advantageous, but not essential CA/CPA qualifications or willingness to pursue them is supported HOW TO APPLY?
