Our Client
A well respected and progressive professional services firm with an international client base, and a history of delivering strong performance and results.
The Role
- This is an important internal role assisting the Financial Controller within the organisation.
- Liaising with stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Provide related support and guidance to the internal teams in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the internal Financial Controller with monthly reconciliations
- Back up for internal payroll, BAS preparation & monthly accounts for all internal entities – payroll is currently split between 2 entities & done on a weekly basis (60 staff in total)
- Back up for AP & AR & bank recs
- Assisting in year end workpapers for internal entities – currently 8 including a public ancillary fund
- Assisting in answering audit queries for internal company with an AFSL
- Day to day accounting for internal & external syndicates (with external investors) – currently 17 of them
- Reconciliation between xero & praemium investment reporting software
- Update of NAV
- Arrange monthly/ quarterly income distributions
- Investor reporting, KYC paperwork & investor liaison
- Assisting in set up of any new syndicates
- Preparation of year end workpapers for all syndicates for tax agent review
- Monthly accounting, BAS, year end workpapers for 2 x clients with AFSL – both fund managers
- Liaising with the clients on day to day needs & attending monthly compliance meetings
- Liaising with auditors & tax agents for clients
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Fund accounting / management experience.
- Strong communicator.
- Experience using XERO, Praemium, and NAV
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
