This job description outlines an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join a highly reputable public practice accounting firm located in the Southern suburbs of Brisbane only 20min from the CBD.

The company prides itself on offering comprehensive financial services including taxation, management accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, audit, and superannuation.

The role is ideal for someone with at least two years of experience in public practice accounting, and the firm offers excellent training and development opportunities.


Key Details:

• Location: Brisbane Southern Suburbs

• Industry: Public practice accounting, offering services like taxation, bookkeeping, financial planning, and more

• Software used: XERO and MYOB

Role Responsibilities:

• Preparation of reports, financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships

• Liaising with authorities like the ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients

• Working closely with a Senior Accountant and Manager to ensure timely completion of work

• Conducting research on general taxation issues

About You:

• Experience: Minimum of two years in public practice accounting

• Qualification: Tertiary qualification in accounting

• Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
