SMSF Accountant $90-$100 package

This is an exciting opportunity to join an AFR Top 100 accounting firm in the heart of Brisbane CBD.  Having been in operation for over 20 years, this firm has established an exceptional and rewarding work environment for their team. 

Due to growth, they are now seeking an experienced SMSF accountant to assist with managing a portfolio of SMSF clients. There is a full-time offshore accountant who is very knowledgeable who will be a valuable support.  This is a great opportunity to take ownership of the SMSF function and be part of its continued growth!

About The Role: 

Reporting to 3 Directors, you will perform full function compliance for a portfolio of funds varying in complexities. Duties include: 

• Assisting in the planning for the commencement of jobs and acquiring knowledge and understanding of client’s fund

• Efficient, timely and accurate preparation of appropriate financial reports

• Timely and accurate identification of SIS and tax compliance issues

• Preparation and processing of tax returns and financials 

• Ensuring files are completed and kept up to date

• Preparation of pension documents and calculations thereof 

• Preparation of quarterly activity statements

• Assist Directors and Managers with advisory services 

Your Experience: 

• Minimum 4 years' experience working with self-managed super funds in an Australian accounting firm

• We will consider tax accountants with SMSF experience wanting to specialise in SMSF Accounting 

• Experience with using BGL and XPM is highly regarded
