You'll work with a portfolio of large, privately owned businesses — many with turnovers between $10M and $100M, and some with international subsidiaries.    This role offers a strong blend of technical tax and business advisory, focusing on group structuring, strategic planning, and performance improvement. Working closely with the firm’s Directors, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of the division — with a clear pathway to future partnership for those with long-term leadership ambitions.       Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of large private clients across multiple industries Oversee and review tax compliance work including returns and financial statements Deliver high-level advisory services including structuring, tax planning, and performance insights Support clients with strategic decision-making using financial and operational data Collaborate with Directors on business development and growth initiatives Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development    About You CA or CPA qualified with 5–10+ years’ public practice experience Strong technical tax skills and experience working with large, complex private groups Commercially savvy with excellent communication and client relationship skills Proficient in cloud-based accounting and reporting tools Ambitious, team-oriented, and open to future leadership or partnership progression    About the Firm Our client is a well-established mid-tier Chartered Accounting firm in Brisbane’s CBD, known for their high-quality service, technical excellence, and long-standing client relationships. Your Duties:  This position is a pivotal one which will see you directly supporting two of the firms Directors. You will enjoy a varied role managing their administrative tasks.
